Acute is an international collaborative comprised of members from Argentina, Israel, Mexico, Spain and the United States. Our purpose is to facilitate international activities which include Conferences, residencies, publications (online/offline), exhibitions, and workshops. Members meet annually to discuss ways to further develop the collaboration. Current Acute nodes : Centro Multimedia / Mexico City “´” is the fragmentary code used in HTML (Hypertext Markup Language, specifically designed for internet browsers) to display alternate characters that are not part of the official character set. Accents used in the Spanish language are an example of when this special code is used. “´” is the name chosen for our collaborative group, which at this point includes artists and curators from Argentina, Israel, Mexico, Spain and the United States. The name reflects an “alternative” element that we wish the evergrowing network of collaborators to have, but not in a straightforward way, as we founded the project on the important notion of diversity while indirectly referencing the pivotal foundation of the collaboration in the Spanish language, but not necessarily making it a central element. |
